Tip of the Day: Cook Ahead!

One of my favorite ways to plan ahead is to cook a huge batch of meat for the freezer. Yesterday, I plunked three frozen chickens into an electric roaster and two beef rump roasts into a slow cooker. I not only had meat for last night’s supper and today’s supper, but I also have meat shredded and ready for about ten more meals. This will help things move more smoothly on our upcoming cooking day when we make 14-16 meals plus a few sides and appetizers for our freezer.
