Tip of the Day: Don’t Overwhelm Yourself.

My kids and I have made approximately a blue million meals for the freezer this week. (Okay, maybe a dozen or so with several side dishes and appetizers, too.) HOWEVER, this is not the way I usually freezer cook because it’s too overwhelming with all of the list-making, shopping, organizing, cooking and washing dishes.

If you are new to freezer cooking or if you have little ones or if you work full-time outside your home, you may find that tripling a batch of stuffed shells one evening a week, a batch of mini meat loaves the next week and a recipe of chili the next is a more practical way to freezer cook. If you are stashing even one or two meals in your freezer each week, you are planning ahead for busy nights or to have meals on hand for a friend who needs them.
