Who knew that hot fudge sauce could be made so easily in our very own kitchens? This is absolutely heavenly, and it makes an awesome gift with some chopped nuts and a can of whipped cream. Oh, and don’t forget the cherries!
¾ c. semisweet chocolate chips
¼ c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. evaporated milk
Melt chocolate over medium heat in heavy saucepan. Add sugar.
Gradually stir in evaporate milk; stir to dissolve sugar.
Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Boil gently for 7-8 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and cool.
Makes 1 ¼ cups.
