Parents are often rightly outraged by what their children are taught in the classroom. However, I have been recently considering what these same children are being taught in what is their biggest classroom–their homes. Are we, as parents, holding ourselves to standards of excellence when it comes to the television shows we watch, the internet sites we visit, the strategies we use to resolve conflict and the music to which we listen?
We are leaving a legacy. We might as well be intentional about what legacy we choose to leave.
