Larissa’s Strawberry Pretzel Salad Recipe

This recipe was shared by my sweet friend, Larissa.  She uses the strawberries she picks and freezes in-season to make tasty treats like this when local strawberries are no longer available.


1 1/2 c. crushed pretzels

1/2 c. sugar

1 stick melted butter

12 oz. whipped topping

1/2 c. sugar

8 oz. cream cheese

6 oz. strawberry jello

1 c. boiling water

20 oz. can crushed pineapple

16 oz. frozen strawberries in syrup, thawed (Larissa usually adds sugar to some of hers before freezing them.)


Combine crushed pretzels, 1/2 c. sugar, and butter.  Put in 9×13 pan and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.


With beater, mix cool whip, 1/2 c. sugar, and cream cheese. Spread over cooled pretzels.

Dissolve jello in boiling water, add pineapple (with juice) and strawberries (with syrup). Pour over second layer and chill.

If you want to make it ahead, Larissa says it can frozen and taken out one hour before serving.
