I have no idea what my grandma’s recipe was for black raspberry pie, but I know that we really like this one. Hope you do, too.
If you need a good pie crust recipe, I’ve posted one on my blog that is pretty scrumptious. It’s called Flaky Butter Pie Crust.
3 c. black raspberries, washed
2/3 c. sugar
3 T. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1 t. lemon juice
2 pie crusts
Combine sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan. Add water, lemon juice and berries and mix well. Heat over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a bit.
Fill pie crust, vent top crust and bake at 425 degrees for 40-ish minutes.
