Slow Cooker Chicken & Stuffing

My kids REALLY like this recipe, and it’s a quick one to “dump” into the slow cooker in the morning.  I’ll type the recipe as I found it, but then I’ll note my money-saving changes in parentheses.

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (8-10 thighs or legs)
4 slices Swiss cheese (The pre-sliced Swiss is SO MUCH more expensive than buying a hunk of it, so I buy the hunk and then just grate it over the chicken.)
1 pkg. chicken-flavored stuffing mix (We use leftover homemade stuffing for this when we have it, or I just make a super-quick stuffing with soft bread crumbs, a bit of melted butter and some seasonings.)
2 10 3/4-oz. cans cream of chicken soup (I make my own from a dry mix.)
1/2 c. chicken broth

Put chicken in slow cooker; top each piece with cheese.

Combine stuffing mix, broth and soup; pour over chicken.

Cook on low 6-8 hours (8 hours if using bone-in pieces).
